Building the foundations for system wide change
Every year, the NHS delivers around 600 million interactions across general practice, community services, hospitals, mental health and ambulance care – an average of 1.7 million contacts every day. Behind each of these interactions sits a complex network of systems, organisations and services working together.
The NHS ten‑year plan sets an ambitious agenda for system‑wide transformation, with people and technology at its heart. It recognises that change must happen closer to those receiving care, with local decision‑making underpinned by a clear national strategy. One thing that remains consistent, is the need for strong digital foundations that can support scale, drive innovation, reduce risk, and provide confidence in change.
